How did it all begin?
Louise Webster, Founder, after having her children became very aware of the talent drifting from the school gates each day along with the barriers in working within the hours available as a parent. Louise believes that all parents should have the opportunity to pursue their ambitions beyond the school run – for their personal wellbeing and the wellbeing of society.
What sets your business apart?
Beyondtheschoolrun.com is a connector for all that is available for parents to connect, inspire and engage. It focuses on the person whole across wellbeing, flexible working, re-skilling and training, setting up a business the female way and much more.
What is the concept behind your business or the problem you’re solving?
There is a huge group within society who are unable to share and utilise their skills because they don’t fit within conventional hours. The Beyondtheschoolrun platform includes the website, social media channels including our group Beyond the school run and Flexible working for mums, a newsletter, You-tube channel and book ‘A New Way for Mothers.’
Where to next/What is your brand vision?
Beyondtheschoolrun to be the largest connector for parents and also businesses wishing to create a new way of working of the greater good of themselves and for future generations.
What do you feel passionate about/what drives you?
Creating positive social change for the benefit of ourselves and future generations

I have always identified social issues and solutions for them.
Highlights of your business journey so far?
An invitation to No. 10 Downing Street within 6 months of setting up Beyondtheschoolrun.com and writing my book ‘A New Way for Mothers’ which published in 2017.
Key lessons you have learned along the way?
It’s not a race, take a step every day no matter how big or small. Follow your heart and intuition.
Best piece of advice you have received?
I have a Steve Jobs quote I keep on my desk: “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become”.
Advice to an aspiring entrepreneur or woman just starting her career?
You have a dream and vision for a reason, keep going.
What funding route have you chosen for your business and why?
Personal funding so far.
Some of the challenges you have faced and how you overcame them?
Not following others and following my own path.
Why is it important to support women-led business?
Because women need to support and lift one another, that is what we do as females. There is a lot of change that needs to happen to empower women.
