Working with founders to grow a profitable company and nail their digital offering.

How did it all begin?

I have been growing businesses for over 20 years now.

What sets your business apart?

I’m a founder myself so I get it. I’ve also got a lot of experience in actually scaling businesses myself. I am unique in my offering to clients: Identify new opportunities, Find cost-efficiencies, Scale your marketing efforts, Leverage 20 years of digital experience.

What is the concept behind your business or the problem you’re solving?

I see a lot of founders who are a bit lost, not knowing what steps to take next, wasting time and money on marketing and other things that aren’t working. It’s overwhelming, lonely and full-on being a founder. It’s also BRILLIANT when all is going well. I am there to help them on their journey, to offer them strategic advice, challenge them, support them and hold them accountable. I’m here to help them grow an amazing, profitable business which makes the positive impact that they want. And I love it!

Where to next/What is your brand vision?

I want to do more group programmes to bring people together. I love connecting people and I want entrepreneurs to feel supported on what can sometimes be a lonely and overwhelming journey. The better that I can connect people the more they will benefit and the more that they will grow. That and showing them the nuts and bolts of business growth. I want to bring those things together in group learning/ masterminds/bootcamps, whatever is needed! But I truly believe in connection and learning as being two of the key components of successful growth.

What do you feel passionate about/what drives you?

I feel passionate about helping founders to grow a profitable business that they love. With me it’s very holistic, making money is important but I am also very interested in making a positive impact on all those around you, your team, your customers, your suppliers and the environment.

Share an example of early life that has shaped you?

I started working at age 14 every Sunday in a cafe and I was paid £20 a shift for 6 hours, I loved it because it was my first sign of independence. When I first moved to London I came with about £100 and my parents said you won’t be able to last long in London with just that. But I was adamant and I wasn’t going home, within a week I had a job and was making really good money, whilst staying on a friend’s sofa.

Highlights of your business journey so far?

Setting up, scaling and selling multiple businesses, securing investment, employing great staff and seeing them happy.

Key lessons you have learned along the way?

Look after your staff, look after your own health and wellbeing. Make sure that you understand the numbers in the business. Don’t give shareholding away too easily. Measure what you are doing and what is and is not working.

Best piece of advice you have received?

Look after your staff they are key to your business success and everyone’s happiness.

Advice to an aspiring entrepreneur or woman just starting her career?

Do something that you love, where you can add value to others and be happy yourself. You will only be driven when you do something that lights you up. And look after your wellbeing, that is super important.

What funding route have you chosen for your business and why?

I have done all sorts of funding, I mainly self-funded all my businesses but I have secured investments on Dragon’s Den for one of my businesses. My current business is a consultancy business so I didn’t need funding and it’s just me at the moment.

Some of the challenges you have faced and how you overcame them?

Wow, I have faced many challenges, everything from Dragon’s Den, to scaling businesses to selling them and then starting again. With all challenges, it’s about being strong and finding support.

Why is it important to support women-led business?

I believe in community and collaboration and I love working with other women. It’s important to support women-led businesses as we are all in this together, growing together and doing amazing things.
