Kahmune is a luxury marketplace for skin tone footwear and accessories.

We design all of our products in 10 skin tone hues in order to provide all women with a true nude option.

How did it all begin?

I was browsing social media one night when I saw a “nude” outfit that I wanted to emulate. After spending a few hours searching, I quickly realised that nude products are not designed with my dark complexion in mind. I ended up buying a pair of white pumps and painting them to match my skin. The moment I looked in the mirror I knew this was an idea I had to run with.

What sets your business apart?

We are truly one of the most inclusive brands on the market. Our skin tone range caters to women of all complexions and our size ranges from a UK 4 – UK 11.

What is the concept behind your business or the problem you’re solving?

Redefining the concept of “nude” in the fashion industry. All products you encounter are the same beige and tan colours which aren’t appropriate for all complexions.

Always remember your “why”.

Advice to an aspiring entrepreneur or woman just starting her career?

Due your due diligence. Make a business plan and figure out how you’re going to fund your venture!

What funding route have you chosen for your business and why?

Loans and angel investors.

Some of the challenges you have faced and how you overcame them?

Starting an e-commerce fashion brand with no experience! I’ve had to teach myself social media, marketing, website design, and more to make myself a contender.

Why is it important to support women-led business?

When women support women more of us win and we do it together!
