How did it all begin?
At a place in my life when everything was falling apart, and my children were struggling, a friend and I discovered The Australian Bush Essences and they really worked. However, as we didn’t know the plants they came from, we were unfamiliar with their properties.
I knew the plants growing around me on a physical level and was working as a professional gardener and assistant florist to the HRH Prince of Wales. Christine had trained as a homeopath and making essences didn’t look too hard so we thought we’d give it a go. That was in 2003 - it’s been quite a journey since!
What sets your business apart?
All of our essences are hand bottled to keep the vibration as high as possible and they are designed to be simple and straightforward to use and choose.
We always wanted them to be approachable to those who hadn’t used essences before and that ethos is still behind everything that we do as a brand , from the names of our blends, to the dosage, to the language we use.
What is the concept behind your business or the problem you’re solving?
Flower Essences are incredibly effective at shifting emotional and behavioural patterns, they are safe and easy to use and are very undervalued. Our aim is to get them to as many people as possible.
What is your brand vision?
Since rebranding in 2018 and taking on sole directorship of the business after 15 years of getting to know our products and what each essence can help with, growth has been sure and steady.
Education is key but the hope is that, as a company, we are in a place to really shine once flower essences are more understood and accepted in society in general.
