I help women consultants get from six to seven figures and beyond.

How did it all begin?

I was head of operations in a occupational psychology start up firm for four years, during which time we grew the business from six to seven figures and sold it. During the due diligence phase, preparing for the business sale, we realised there were many areas of risk that we hadn’t noticed. I set up my coaching business 10 years ago to help women consultants avoid these potholes and build strong, flourishing businesses.

What sets your business apart?

I have combined experience of growing a consultancy but also my own online business, which means I am in touch with trends and best practices in a wide variety of business settings. I don’t use a cookie cutter approach and I coach the clients’ agenda.

What is the concept behind your business or the problem you’re solving?

Up to £250 billion of new value could be added to the UK economy if women started and scaled new businesses at the same rate as UK men. This was highlighted in the Rose Report on Female Entrepreneurship in the UK. It’s incredible to think of the change that could be made, not just to the women running those businesses, but to everyone they work with, their suppliers, and the businesses and organisations they support. Women have been historically excluded from the business world and still receive a minimal proportion of business investment. We don’t need to wait for systemic change, as women entrepreneurs we can financially empower ourselves.

Where to next/What is your brand vision?

I am currently working on edits to my first book which I am really excited to get out into the world soon! But with me it is always about connecting to my ‘Next Level Self’ and making the next uplevel. My mission statement is ‘Empowering women to create wealth and opportunities for themselves and the women around them’ so growing that movement and seeing the ripple effect for as many women as possible is the most important thing.

What do you feel passionate about/what drives you?

Women creating wealth and opportunities for themselves and the women around them.

Share an example of early life that has shaped you?

I remembered recently that I actually set up my first ‘membership club’ while I was still in primary school! It was called the Flopsy Bunny Club and we met up to eat sweets and had colouring competitions. I didn’t know it at the time but I was setting a precedent for creating safe and impactful spaces for high-achieving women which is something I am still passionate about.

Highlights of your business journey so far?

LinkedIn Top Voice 2019, becoming a multi six figure business, hosting retreats internationally, helping clients add hundreds of thousands of dollars to their business revenue, helping clients create lasting change and build a life and a business they love.

Key lessons you have learned along the way?

You must invest in your mindset.

Your business will be the biggest healing tool you have ever encountered.

Collaboration over competition.

In a world where you can be anything, be kind.

Best piece of advice you have received?

Find a super niche and speak exclusively to that audience.

Advice to an aspiring entrepreneur or woman just starting her career?

Don’t look to other people to prove whether you can do it. Believe in yourself and don’t give up, even when it seems like it is madness to continue!

What funding route have you chosen for your business and why?

I did not seek investment because I didn’t want to feel like I was asking people’s permission. I’ve grown my business purely on profits as I did not have any capital when I started it.

Some of the challenges you have faced and how you overcame them?

Lack of self confidence, the global pandemic, cashflow crisis, extreme discouragement. If in doubt, lean in, do the work on yourself and keep going until it works.

Why is it important to support women-led business?

Women have a level of opportunity and access they have never had before. There is so much untapped potential in women-led businesses and we can change the world by creating more wealthy women.

My inspiration is...

Having the freedom to create whatever I am called to create.

My greatest fear is...

I tend to define my life by my ambitions rather than my fears - and I am a fan of feeling the fear over all kinds of things (failure, success, all the normal things) but doing it anyway.

Women-led brand you love?

Olaplex hair products have been a staple for me for the last few years. I also love Kitsch shampoo bars and Bobbi Brown's Jones Road line of cosmetics. It is great to see so many more women creating companies that are 'by women for women'. We are so over the male gaze.

Top productivity tool?

Ultimately the best productivity tool is being able to say no to almost every opportunity that crosses your desk. You then need to hire people to take care of the opportunities that are strategically aligned. We have to guard our schedules with our lives because time is the most precious commodity, and we don't have time for 9-5 working. For the last 3 years I have only worked 3-4 hours per day, 3-4 days per week and it has been life (and business!) changing.
