Share an experience or challenge that has shaped you? Growing up, my uncles had a stall in Camden Market, where I made some of my best childhood memories. I remember watching all these incredible small independent businesses, each one full of life, culture and personality. Every stall felt like an extension of the person running it; you could see how much they loved what they were doing.
Being in that environment shaped the way I see business. It taught me that when you build something that truly resonates with you, something you care about, you’re not just “working”, you’re pouring yourself into something meaningful, and that’s the most fulfilling way of working.
Best piece of advice you have ever been given? You cannot manage what you’re not measuring.
What advice would you give to your younger self or a woman just starting her career? Build your business around the life you want, rather than building a life around your business. Identify what you want out of life and then plan backwards.
What does success mean to you? Having a positive impact on people’s lives and on the world around me.
How do you handle challenges and changes? What's in your toolkit? I handle challenge and change by grounding myself in the facts, breaking big problems into small experiments, and testing out new things instead of waiting for the perfect answer. I lean on my community, stay curious, and treat every hard moment as information I can grow from.
Why is it important to support women in business and women-led business? There is still work that needs to be done. Even now, startups with all-female founding teams receive around 2–3% of total venture capital funding globally. That gap isn’t about talent or ambition; it’s about access to capital, networks and decision-making rooms.
When we support women-led businesses, we’re correcting that imbalance and unlocking ideas, leadership styles and solutions that have been underfunded for too long.
