I am the founder of FabRap, a sustainable, reusable gift wrap inspired by Japanese Furoshiki. I started my business to offer beautiful, eco-friendly alternatives to disposable gift wrap and to encourage more conscious gifting with a lasting impact.

Share an experience or challenge that has shaped you? Growing up as an expat first in England and then Australia meant being surrounded by not only my own home country’s culture, but also the culture of my family’s heritage. I’ve also lived in Dubai, Vietnam, and now am based in Germany. I would say that living as an expat teaches you so much about yourself. What your strengths are, how you can manage in what would seem normally to be situations you maybe would have never imagined before.
Best piece of advice you have ever been given? The best time to start your new business was yesterday, the second-best time is today. Starting a business is like having a baby – you’ll never be fully prepared for either!
What advice would you give to your younger self or a woman just starting her career? Research, research, research! Do your due diligence, don’t get swayed by emotion, and don’t let your inner voice, or anyone else's get in the way!
What does success mean to you? ~
How do you handle challenges and changes? What's in your toolkit? ~
Why is it important to support women in business and women-led business? Women in business are a force for good. Women are creative leaders who are able to compassionately steer employees to find their most resonant place in companies.
