Share an experience or challenge that has shaped you? Creating Gia Como has probably been one of the biggest challenges and blessings of my life.
I started the business because I struggled to find home fragrance products that didn’t trigger my asthma, but building a brand from scratch has taught me so much more than I ever expected.
There have been moments where I’ve questioned myself, moments where things haven’t gone to plan, and moments where I’ve wanted to give up. But every challenge has stretched me, strengthened me, and reminded me why I started in the first place.
Best piece of advice you have ever been given? Don’t despise small beginnings.

It’s something I come back to often because we live in a world where everyone sees the finished product but rarely the journey. Every successful business started somewhere. It’s easy to compare yourself to others, but comparison can distract you from the purpose and path that’s uniquely yours.

What advice would you give to your younger self or a woman just starting her career? Start before you feel ready. Confidence often comes after action, not before it. Be willing to learn, make mistakes, ask questions, and keep showing up. Progress matters more than perfection.
What does success mean to you? Success means having the freedom to build a life I love while creating something that genuinely impacts other people. Business growth is important, but what means the most to me is knowing that something I’ve created has become part of someone’s memories, celebrations, or everyday moments.
How do you handle challenges and changes? What's in your toolkit? Faith, perspective, and adaptability. Challenges are inevitable, but I’ve learned to focus on solutions rather than problems. I rely on prayer, planning, trusted mentors, and reminding myself why I started in the first place.
Why is it important to support women in business and women-led business? Because behind every woman-led business is usually a woman who has taken a chance on herself. Supporting women-led businesses isn’t just about buying a product or service—it’s about investing in someone’s vision, creating opportunities, and helping more women build something meaningful.

60 Seconds with Precious Wade

My inspiration is: My high school motto: Be the best you can be.
My greatest fear is: Wasting my potential.
The most courageous thing I have ever done is: Starting a business and betting on myself.
I am most proud of: Building Gia Como from an idea into a brand that continues to grow, evolve, and create meaningful experiences for others.
Guiltless pleasure: Using my passport. Those pages aren’t going to fill themselves!
Mantra I live by: What’s for me will never miss me. And if I hear “no”, I find another way.
Female role model: My mum and my nan. Two incredibly strong women.
Women-led brand I love: My friend and the founder of @cecekbeauty. She’s one of the most talented makeup artists I know, and I’ve loved watching her build her brand with passion and purpose.
