Serenity Women’s Clinic

I am a Consultant Gynaecologist with over 15 years experience in Women’s Health. I founded Serenity Women’s Clinic providing a one stop service for Women’s proaging needs; Menopause, Vulval health, Aesthetics and Intimate wellness!

Share an experience or challenge that has shaped you? Being born in the UK to immigrant parents has profoundly shaped my perspective and values. From an early age, I saw first hand the importance of hard work, resilience, and adaptability as my parents navigated the challenges of building a life in a new country. Their determination and unwavering work ethic became the foundation of my own drive and commitment. It taught me not only to persevere but also to approach life with empathy and an understanding of diverse experiences - qualities that now define my approach to both life and my work in women’s health.
Best piece of advice you have ever been given? Never expect anything from anyone.
What advice would you give to your younger self or a woman just starting her career? Work diligently to establish yourself and achieve financial independence. Once you have a solid foundation, don’t be afraid to forge your own path. Trust your instincts, embrace your unique vision, and be open to taking calculated risks. Your journey is yours to define, so pursue what truly resonates with you.
What does success mean to you? Success, to me, means independence, both for myself and for the women I support. It’s knowing that I’ve made a meaningful impact, whether through hands-on care in my clinic or by creating educational opportunities that empower women to take control of their health and well-being.
How do you handle challenges and changes? What's in your toolkit? I try to rely on automation to ease decision fatigue and bring structure to challenging times. Whether it’s pre-planning meals or organising outfits in advance, having these small systems in place frees up mental space so I can focus on what really matters, adapting to change with clarity and confidence.
Why is it important to support women in business and women-led business? Supporting women-led businesses is crucial because no one understands our journeys better than other women. When we uplift one another, we create a powerful network of support that benefits all women. Together, we can break barriers, inspire change, and pave the way for future generations

60 Seconds with Smita Sinha

My inspiration is: My mum! After losing my father when I was 12, she did an amazing job raising me onher own, while providing exceptional career, life, and financial role modeling..
My greatest fear is: Losing my independence. It drives my ambition and commitment to maintaining control over my life and decisions.
The most courageous thing I have ever done is: Leaving my established NHS career after 17 years without a clear plan. It was a leap of faith that has shaped my journey.
I am most proud of: Supporting women navigate through their health journeys and to thrive.
Guiltless pleasure: Quiet days at home. They give me the chance to recharge and reflect.
Mantra I live by: “Treat others how you would like to be treated.” This principle guides my interactions and reminds me of the importance of empathy and respect in all relationships.
Female role model: I find the most meaningful inspiration from the remarkable women around me - from my family, friends, colleagues to patients!
Women-led brand I love: Monica Vinader for their contemporary as well as ethically produced jewellery.
