Whitney Hawkings

Founder

FLOWERBX

After nearly two decades in fashion, I set out to bring the same level of beauty, consistency, and style to the flower industry. FLOWERBX delivers fresh, single-variety blooms straight from growers to doorsteps, luxury that’s effortless, elegant, and better for the planet.

Share an experience or challenge that has shaped you? Getting my first job out of school as Tom Ford’s PA at Gucci was a life-changing experience that shaped my entire career and who I am today.
Best piece of advice you have ever been given? Never hire people you don’t want to have dinner with.
What advice would you give to your younger self or a woman just starting her career? Get a very thick skin and be prepared to work harder than you ever have in your life.
What does success mean to you? ~
How do you handle challenges and changes? What's in your toolkit? ~
Why is it important to support women in business and women-led business? Every day presents a new set of challenges, not to mention the unprecedented macro conditions that we have faced over the past 5 years. From Brexit, Covid, Inflation, 2 wars and the cost of living crisis, on top of the every day challenges of running a start up – let’s just say it hasn’t been a smooth ride. I have learned and lived resilience, agility and stamina over the past few years.
